Learning something new is never easy.
But there is a way to short cut the process.
In my own efforts to improve my social skills, I started studying the behaviours of socially confident guys. Eventually, I noticed that most of them share very similar traits.
Your daily habits determine how successful or unsuccessful you will be in your endeavours. The good thing is all habits can be changed.
If you want to improve your social confidence FAST, model your behaviour to those who are getting the results that you want. Figure out what they did and find a way to make it your own.
Here are 7 things socially confident guys do differently.
They Know What They Want
Socially confident guys value their own opinion.
They have clearly defined goals and they don’t compare themselves to other people. Everything they do is intentional and they’re not afraid to be different.
If you want to have a remarkable social life, take a moment to really ask yourself what you’re working towards. Knowing what you want will give your life a sense of direction.
They Take Care Of Themselves
You are your number one asset.
It’s hard to be confident, social and charismatic around other people if you’re not feeling your best.
Make sure you take the time to get your needs met. Get enough sleep, eat well, work out and meditate.
When you feel good internally, other people can feel that. Take care of yourself so you can show up fully in all your interactions.
They Are Generous
Socially confident guys have an abundance mindset.
Rather than thinking of what they can get, they go out of their way to add value to everyone they come in contact with.
If you want to build a network of people who are dedicated to your success, help them get what they want.
They Make Learning A Priority
If you want to be an interesting person, you need to do interesting things.
Socially confident guys are adventurous and are willing to try something they’ve never done before.
It can be as simple as travelling to a new city, trying different types of food or listening to a new genre of music.
As they say, variety is the spice of life.
They Are Empathetic
People don’t remember what you do for them. But they remember how you make them feel.
Empathy has to be one of the most important skill you need to learn in order to be socially successful.
When you’re able to put yourself in other people’s situation is when they will feel a deep sense of connection with you.
They Are Action Takers
If you want to be socially fluent, you need to see failure as a necessary process along your journey.
Be quick to take action and test your ideas. Take note of your results and make necessary adjustments.
You’ll learn more from doing something than just reading about it. Experience is always the best teacher.
They Don’t Take Rejection Personally
Trying to please everyone is a recipe for stress, misery and frustration. There’s nothing you can do that will make everybody like you.
Socially confident guys see rejection as a good thing because they don’t end up wasting time with the wrong people.
Remember, the more authentic you are, the faster you’ll find the right type of relationships for you.
